2022 BA Sport Journalism World Cup

Tuesday, February 1, 2022: More than 50 BA Sport Journalism students will compete in the inaugural BA Sport Journalism World Cup at Falmer Sports Centre. Take a look at the squad profiles and key information below.

Venue: UoB Sports Centre (Falmer Campus) Village Way, Falmer, Brighton BN1 9PH

Date/time: 11am-2pm tournament (followed by sports quiz in pavilion afterwards) February 1, 2022

Format: 7aside indoor, two games at once. Round robin with the final featuring the two highest performing sides

Facilities: Officials, scorers, bibs, balls and goals provided by Sport Brighton

Talent pool: BA Sport Journalism students (no ringers)

Coverage: MA Sport Journalism students have offered to capture the action through commentary, live-streaming, pitch-side interviews

Refreshments: Post-event Dominos

Prizes: Individual prizes e.g. Amazon vouchers for top goalscorer(s), team prizes for highest-performing sides and there will also be a post-tournament sports quiz in the SportBrighton pavilion
