1′ We are off here at Wembley with Wales starting proceedings going from left to right on your screens, both teams look to be starting in a 3-4-3 formation, we will have to see if either side adjusts their shape as the game progresses.
5′ Wales have the first attempt of the game and its from Tyler Roberts but the Welshman doesn’t really get hold of it and then the follow up shot is blocked by Conor Coady and the attack is no more.
8′ England have finally been able to transfer the ball into the welsh final third resulting in a corner, but nothing comes from the resultant corner as the ball just grazes Coadys head and essentially clears the ball for Wales.

25′ Goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin England 1-0 Wales
The first time England have been able to successfully carry the ball into the final third, Jack Grealish puts a pin point ball into the box to a completely unmarked Calvert-Lewin. The inform Everton man headers the ball into a empty Welsh net. He is finding the net with ease at the minute, can anyone stop his ascendance?
28′ Good response from Wales as they win a corner after a slick bit build play, Tyler Roberts is the catalyst to everything wales are doing so far.
30′ Chance for Kieffar Moore now, a simple ball in behind Michael Keane but Nick Pope springs out of goal quickly and snuffs out the danger and the opportunity is squandered.

37′ England really struggling to break the initial first press of the three Welsh forwards, they haven’t looked like creating anything else currently.
38′ Just as I say that a corner is looped into the box by Harry Winks, the ball pinballs around, until Coady, with half a yard of space makes a lash at the ball but barely connects and Wales can clear their lines.
42′ Connor Roberts is given a yellow card for quite a dangerous challenge on Saka inside the England half, the young lad needs to be careful now.
45′ Into stoppage time now and you would of thought Southgate will be happy with the defensive performance England has displayed, but will not be too thrilled with the lack of creativity at the other end.

Half time England lead at the break in a fairly even, dull affair both teams finding it difficult to transfer the ball into dangerous areas. But Calvert-Lewin has been the anomaly, he has really stretched the Wales defence. He has also been excellent in the air as he took his goal superbly.
Two changes to start the second half for Wales, Dylan Levitt and Ben Cabango have replaced Joe Rodon and Joe Morrell .
46′ England gets us back underway. Hopefully the game should open up here in the second half.
50′ A better start from Wales as they actually have possession in some attacking areas but much like the first half no real cutting edge as they struggle to break down this back five of England.
53′ Goal Conor Coady England 2-0 Wales
Trippier directs an excellent free kick into the the penalty and lack luster marking from the Wales defence means Conor Coady can arrive late unchallenged and slot home into basically an empty net.

58′ Triple substitution for England Reece James, Mason Mount and Tyrone Mings on for Joe Gomez, Calvert-Lewin and the short lived England skipper Trippier. So Coady takes the armband what memorable night for him it has been.

63′ Goal Danny Ings England 3-0 Wales
Once more England capitalize on poor welsh marking, a corner is floated towards the far post which is met by Mings who seems to inadvertently cushion the ball to a social distanced Ings who fires the ball with an overhead kick passed a hopeless Hennessey.
66′ Mount has caused mayhem with his intense pressure on the Welsh defenders as he repeatedly wins the ball back inside the final third. He then beats the full back and drills the ball across the box but no one is there to meet it.
70′ Chance again for England Grealish at the fore front of it as he nutmegs the incoming defender, the ball then falls for Mount on the edge of the box he slides the ball to a late arriving Saka whose subsequent shot is deflected but still forces a very smart save out of Hennessey.
75′ More changes for England and its another debut as Barnes replaces Grealish who has been a class above everyone else in this second half and James Ward-Prowse comes on for Harry Winks.
83′ Slick bit of play from Maitland-Niles as he receives the ball from Barnes and he then beats a few defenders loses the ball but gets it right back and plays in intricate pass Ings adjacent to him. Ings strikes the ball fairly well but again is denied by Hennessey who, you would have to say without him this game would be closely resemble a cricket score.

89′ Pope has had next to nothing to do in this second half but his concentration levels are still on point as he comfortably plucks out a dangerous looking cross from the left hand side.
