Ireland will host Wales at the Aviva Stadium on the Friday 13, November 2020 in the inaugural match of the new Autumn Nations Cup.

Although Ireland won 24-14 in that fixture, it has been less than two weeks since they lost against France, which ultimately cost them the title. With this new competition taking place, this could be their chance to steady the ship.
Whereas, Wales have four consecutive defeats under their new manager Wayne Pivac. Despite being asked about playing as underdogs within this fixture, Pivac states that the “players are aware of the situation” given how his job will be in doubt if Wales’s form continues.
James Lowe starts on the left wing to make his Ireland debut as the New Zealand born player is praised by Ireland’s manager, Andy Farrell, as he thinks Lowe “can bring extra dimensions” to their game.

Although, Ireland make seven adjustments to their team to welcome returning players and fresh faces to the international stage.
