Bolton manager Ian Evatt praised his side’s 2-0 victory over Salford City saying that they “dug in and rolled their sleeves up”.
When talking to Sky Sports, Evatt was quick to show admiration for his players defensive work saying his players were “disciplined” as well “grafting for each other”.
When questioned about what his team’s result means tonight going forward, Evatt responded “It should kick start us, there’s no better way of playing football under the lights at Bolton in this magnificent stadium.”
Evatt went on to talk about his sides injuries woes of late. “As I’ve said we’ve been unlucky with injuries and that’s the same across football at the moment with the pandemic and with everything that’s going on at the moment. Players are getting muscle injuries regular.”
Meanwhile Salford boss Richie Wellens said the result “doesn’t surprise me” as he went on to oust his team’s poor performance. “There’s work to be done, I knew that last week when we played Hartlepool. The biggest disappointment for me was the start of the game, the body language and the energy and the real appetite to go and play against a team that, let’s be honest have been struggling”.
