Tottenham qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League with a 3-3 draw away to LASK. Despite a lacklustre performance, Spurs got the point they needed to qualify and they must beat Antwerp at home next week to win the group. Goals from Gareth Bale, Dele and Heung-Min Son gave spurs the point that they needed.
Joe Hart 3 – Hart started the game positively, rushing out to make a brilliant save to stop Spurs going behind early on and was loud throughout the game. However, the Englishman could have done better for all three goals, as they were all long shots and not completely in the corner. The second goal was straight at Hart and went in off his arm.
Embed from Getty ImagesMatt Doherty 3 – Doherty has not really made his impact since signing from Wolves in the summer and this game was no different. The full-back gave the ball away for the first goal and lost the ball numerous times from throw-ins.
Davinson Sanchez 4 – Sanchez has fell out of favour in the Premier League after conceding three to West Ham and against LASK didn’t show his worth to Mourinho. The Colombian looked shaky throughout the game and was completely out of position for the second goal.
Embed from Getty ImagesJaphet Tanganga 5 – The young defender has been ravaged by injuries since his breakthrough last season and has struggled to gain consistency. Tanganga gave the ball away multiple times with misplaced passes and conceded three goals.
Ben Davies 5 – Davies is another player who is not in favour in the Premier League and didn’t stake his claim to replace Sergio Reguilon tonight. The Welsh defender was not really at fault for any of the goals, but didn’t offer much going forward.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 7 – The danish midfielder showed the consistency that he has shown all season and was all over the pitch, winning tackles and playing the ball foward.
Embed from Getty ImagesGiovanni Lo Celso 6 – Lo Celso didn’t really show his technical ability in the match and gave the ball away a few too many times. The Argentine didn’t really impact the game in the way that he should be able to with his ability.
Tanguy Ndombele 8 – Ndombele again showed how crucial he is to the Spurs side. The French midfielder was running rings round the LASK midfield and played a perfectly-placed pass in-behind the LASK defence for Son to score.
Embed from Getty ImagesGareth Bale 6 – Bale showed some tricky footwork throughout the game and coverted the penalty with confidence at the end of the first half. However, the Welsh winger didn’t really show his true quality and should have made it 3-1 when he squared the ball to son, behind him.
Lucas Moura 5 – Lucas didn’t really impact the game too much and struggled to really put the LASK defence under too much pressure. The winger did play the cross into Ndombele for him to win the penalty, but overall, he didn’t show his quality and was subbed off at 65 minutes.
Heung-Min Son 7 – Son was clinical for the second goal and buried the one real chance that he had. The forward didn’t see much of the ball throughout the game and wasn’t provided with too many chances, but he tracked back and worked hard for the team.
Embed from Getty ImagesSubs: Moussa Sissoko 5 – Sissoko was brought on to help see out the game for Spurs and he wasn’t able to do that as the team conceded two goals whilst he was on the pitch. The French midfielder got around the pitch, but didn’t shore up the midfield.
Steven Bergwijn 6 – The Dutch winger made quite a few good runs in-behind the LASK defence and won a penalty for the thirs goal. However, Bergwijn could have run at the fullback more and got past them.
Eric Dier 5 – Dier was also brought on by Jose Mourinho to help shore up the Spurs defence and make sure of the victory; however LASK scored two goals whilst Dier was on the pitch and he could’ve closed down Mamoudou Karamoko more for the third goal.
Dele 7 – Dele slotted the penalty away calmly, with a delightful dink down the middle of the goal and almost gave Spurs the victory. Dele also worked hard in the 10 minutes he was on the pitch to try and get into Mourinho’s plans.

Jose Mourinho 6 – Mourinho picked a fairly strong team to make sure of qualification and the midfield especially is ones fans have been begging for. However, it could be argued his defensive subs towards the end of the second half didn’t work, as Spurs conceded two more goals.
