An impressive first half from Leicester gave the Foxes all three points this evening as they beat struggling Brighton & Hove Albion 3 – 0 with a brace from James Maddison and a goal from Jamie Vardy, here’s how the players did tonight:

Kasper Schmeichel – 6
Made good saves to deny Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Danny Welbeck in the opening ten minutes of the game, but after that he didn’t really have anything to worry about, a clean sheet and a good performance from the Danish keeper.
Wesley Fofana – 7
Defensively solid and didn’t have many issues to deal with, helped clear Brighton crosses and made some overlapping runs in the second half.
Jonny Evans – 7
A rock in defence and helped intercept Brighton passes outside of the box and made strong tackles, only downside is that he picked up a yellow card in the second half ruling him out against Everton on Wednesday.

Helped kept Leicester’s defence in tack and had a decent effort on goal in the second half which was saved by Matt Ryan, a good display from Fuchs.
Marc Albrighton – 6
Tested Matt Ryan in the fourth minute with a good attempt and was productive out on the left wing, he also played a part in setting up the second goal.
Wilfred Ndidi – 7
Kept things solid and compact in the midfield after returning from an injury, Ndidi barely put a foot wrong and put in a great shift.
Youri Tielemans – 7
Supported Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield and barely put a foot wrong, played a beautiful pass to Jamie Vardy in the first half which was slammed against the post.
James Justin – 8
Unstoppable out on the right hand side for Leicester, his cross rebounded of Ben White to find Maddison for the first goal and then assissted Vardy for the his goal, an amazing performance from James Justin.
James Maddison – 9 (Man Of The Match)
Back to his best and topped off a great performance with a brace to his name, pounced on Ben White’s block to score the opener and then scores a marvellous second goal as he curled it around Matt Ryan, man of the match no doubt.

Linked up well with Vardy and Maddison and saw his attempt denied by Matt Ryan in the twenty-ninth minute, was easily dispossessed in the second half though.
Jamie Vardy – 8
Vardy continues his great form as he scored from James Justin’s low cross and set up Maddison for his second goal, hard to believe that he is nearly thirty-four years of age when he seems to get better and better every season.
Substitutions:
Harvey Barnes – 5
Looked dangerous going forward but no real major impact when coming on.
Dennis Praet – 5
Added protection into the midfield to help prevent Brighton from creating any chances and did so too.
Nampalys Mendy – 5
Came on in the last ten minutes of the game and helped see out a clean sheet.
Brighton & Hove Albion:
Matt Ryan – 3
Dealt with the opening goal poorly as he failed to push away an easy shot from James Maddison, wasn’t ready for Leicester’s crosses into the box, an extremely poor game from Matt Ryan this evening.

Clearance in 6th minute, blocked Vardy’s shot in 23rd minute, error for first goal
Lewis Dunk – 4
A poor game from the Brighton Captain this evening as he was undone by a couple of through balls and could’ve done better for the second goal.
Joel Veltman – 5
An okay performance from the Dutchman at the back as he helped prevent Leicester attacks coming down from his side and looked bright in the opening ten minutes.
Dan Burn – 2
All of Leicester’s goals came from Dan Burn’s side in the first half, he just wasn’t at the pace of the Leicester attackers, an awful game from Dan Burn and one he will want to forget.
Yves Bissouma – 6
Brighton’s best player on the field today as he tried to help his team create something in the second half by having a few attempts on goal, although he could’ve closed down Maddison for the third goal.

Struggled with the pace of Leicester’s midfield and wasn’t able to create anything noteworthy for the seagulls, a difficult night.
Solly March – 5
Looked bright going forward out on the left hand side in the first half but should’ve helped out defensively as all of Leicester’s goals came from his side.
Alireza Jahenbakhsh – 5
A first premier league start of the season for the Iranian and started bright in first twenty minutes, but drifted away for the remainder of the time he was on the pitch.
Neil Maupay – 5
Left isolated up top without any support, wasn’t a threat going forward tonight.
Danny Welbeck – 4
Should’ve put Brighton in front in the opening minutes but a poor attempt saw Kasper Schmeichel deny the England forward, the rest of the game he was isolated and barely a threat.

Steven Alzate – 5
Helped out defensively in the second half to stop Leicester from creating any clear cut chances.
Aaron Connolly – 5
Struggled to make an impact going forward.
Alexis Mac Allister – 5
Returning from injury but didn’t do much to help change the game.
