Renters of beach huts in Saltdean, Brighton, were shocked when they found that their hut doors had mysteriously changed colour overnight.
The Covid-19 lockdowns pushed the nation into exploring new hobbies and completing odd jobs such as renovating and painting. However, Saltdean residents did not expect a locals new-found chore list to include a makeover on the seafront.
The beach huts on the promenade formerly had the iconic ‘Brighton blue’ doors, but now they are an array of bold and bright colours.
Strangely, the person responsible for the fresh lick of paint remains unknown, with no one stepping forward and putting their name to the act.
