England produced yet another brilliant performance to continue their perfect start to the T20 world cup.
England won the toss and decided to put Bangladesh into bat and the decision paid off brilliantly. Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone took two early wickets each to put pressure on the lower order.
Tymal Mills ran out Afif Hossain after a huge mix up in the middle and started the tumble of wickets in the lower order. The fast bowler then took three late wickets to leave Bangladesh nine wickets down and restrict them to 124; a total that England would always be confident of chasing down.
Despite the brilliant efforts of England’s bowlers, it was Jason Roy that stole the show and won man of the match. The Surrey batsman smashed 61 off 38 and all but assured England of the victory. Roy combined brute strength with some delicate touches to dismantle the Bangladesh bowling line up.
Dawid Malan played the anchor role to Roy and eased to 28 runs off 25 balls to ensure England had no troubles in getting over the line.
