Chelsea stormed to victory yesterday as goals from Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr saw them coast past Arsenal in yesterday’s Women’s FA Cup Final.
Emma Hayes’s side netted three minutes in and then a second-half brace from Sam Kerr saw the game out for Chelsea and helped them secure a domestic treble for the 2020/21 season.
Today on Overtime, we’re going to be walking you through the game via the social media reaction on cup final day at Wembley.
It only took three minutes for Chelsea to find the net, and it came through Fran Kirby’s brilliant finish past Zinsberger.
Hardly a surprise, she’s one of Chelsea’s most potent forwards and is always a threat to any side.
Chelsea undoubtedly exposed Arsenal’s frailties early on, and that continued for the majority of the game.
And Chelsea definitely could have been three or four up by half time and put the game to bed early on.
VAR is always a hot topic for conversation. Should women’s football have it instated?
Kerr and Kirby ran Arsenal ragged on the day, and were thorns in their side all game!
That’s all from Overtime’s coverage of the social media reaction from Chelsea’s FA Cup victory yesterday.
Thanks for tuning in, and hopefully we’ll see you again soon.
