Home   /   The final day of the Gymnastics World Championships ends with another gold for Great Britain

An incredible championships in Liverpool came to an end today with medals awarded on vault, beam, parallel bars, floor, and high bar.

The day started with the men’s vault final where Artur Davtyan from Armenia took the Gold. His execution was near perfect which allowed him to score a massive 9.500 for execution on both of his vaults.

The silver medallist from the vault final Carlos Edriel Yulo from the Philippines also managed to get the bronze in the parallel bars final. Great Britain did have two gymnasts feature on the parallel bars, but both were unable to medal with Giarnni Regini-Moran and Joe Fraser finishing in seventh and eighth.

GB had a much more successful outing in the women’s floor final though with Jessica Gadirova winning the event and becoming the new reigning floor world champion. This medal comes after Gadirova had already won the bronze in the women’s all-around event just three days ago.

Her twin sister Jennifer Gadirova also competed in the floor final finishing in seventh with an incredibly artistic and expressive routine.

The other two finals today were the women’s balance beam and men’s high bar with Japan’s Hazuki Watanabe winning the balance beam gold, and USA’s Brody Malone receiving a well-deserved gold on the high bar as he just about managed to outscore the men’s all-around world champion Daiki Hashimoto by only 0.100

It is a shame to see the end of these championships but after an extremely busy schedule this year all these gymnasts now deserve a well-earned rest while they also continue to prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
