Portugal will be looking to secure a place in the Round of 16 of the World Cup as they clash with Uruguay at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Monday night’s late kick-off.
Portugal come into the game having just scraped past Ghana in their 3-2 victory last Thursday, while La Celeste played out a goalless draw with South Korea earlier that day.
A Selecao, who have not progressed past the last 16 of the World Cup since 2006, would take on the runner-up in Group G in the next round if they did win the group, but that depends on their result tonight and their game against South Korea on December 2.
These two sides did meet in the last 16 in the 2018 tournament in Russia, with the South American nation winning 2-1 thanks to a brace from Edinson Cavani.

Uruguay have also made a positive impression in their last three tournaments, finishing fourth in 2010, reaching the round of 16 in 2014 and progressing to the quarter-finals four years ago in Russia.
