Home   /   Croatia to test Brazilian nerves as the two countries battle for supremacy!

Croatia and Brazil will collide in the highly anticipated quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a spot in the semi-finals hanging in the balance.

The Vatreni overcame the Japanese in the ‘Round of 16′, having fallen behind in the game initially. Ivan Perisic displayed the Croats’ resilience when he equalized for them, leveling the playing field once again.

With the game still at a stalemate at the end of extra time, it was down to penalties to see who’d qualify.

Step forward Dominik Livakovic! The 27-year-old’s heroics denied three penalties to guide the Croatians through to the quarter-finals, where they indisputably face their toughest test yet. Five-time world champions: Brazil!

Brazil had an impeccable showdown against the South Koreans in the ‘Round of 16’, dismantling them in stellar fashion scoring four and conceding just one.

Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic will need to burden the weight of their nation on their shoulders, in the wake of a lackluster display against the Japanese earlier on.

With both sides vying for the semi-final spot, a fantastic game awaits us this evening.

Mario Pasalic makes his campaign debut as he has stridden into the starting eleven as Tite fields an unchanged Selecao side.
