In 2010 The Football Association founded Women’s Super League (WSL). The highest football league for women in England. In 2017-2018 season the league become a professional league.
Since then, the interest in women’s football has increased. During the summer 2022, the Women’s Euros were played in England. The championship broke the audience record multiple times and for the first time over 87 000 spectators watched the final, between England and Germany.
