Tonight at 7.30pm the Sussex Senior Cup Final between Worthing playing in red and Bognor Regis Town playing in green/white will take place at the American Express Stadium in Brighton.
Last year in the Sussex Senior Cup Bognor Regis faced Worthing in the quarter finals and lost 2:0. It is time for a comeback story to make the dream of winning the Sussex Senior Cup Final come true…
Bognor Regis currently plays in the Isthmian League and finished 14 overall which is a rather devastating result, after finishing 9th the previous season. Nonetheless, they have had a fairytale story regarding the Sussex Senior Cup with winning every game but one with at least two goals difference. The Rocks have set a good foundation to go into the game with confidence.
Although Rocks skipper Harvey Whyte tweaked a hamstring in the semi-final penalties victory over Brighton U21s and was in doubt of playing tonight, he will start for Bognor Regis as captain. Therefore the Rocks will start with the same lineup like they have in their semi-finals against Brighton & Hove Albion U21.
