All New Zealand have done is given themselves “an opportunity” according to head coach Ian Foster, after they beat Argentina 44-6 at the Stade de France in Paris.
“All we’ve done is given ourselves an opportunity”, said Foster to ITV Sport, “we’ll be watching tomorrow night with a lot of interest”.
A Will Jordan hattrick, accompanied by two tries from Shannon Fritzel, and contributions from Jordie Barrett and Aaron Smith, ensured the All Blacks convincingly progressed to next week’s World Cup Final.
Barrett, speaking to ITV Sport, said: “[It’s] new territory for a lot of boys, but there’s also some World Cup winners in this group, and World Cup finalists, so we’ll call on their experience”. Barrett will play alongside his two brothers, Scott and 2015 finalist Beauden, in his first World Cup final.

“We were far from our level that we wanted to show. I am gutted and I am really disappointed of that. Our dream of playing in a final is over but we still have work to do.
“Credit to the All Blacks as well, a great team, but we could have done better.”
