The San Francisco 49ers (2-3) travel up the west coast to face the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) at Lumen Field in this NFC West clash. This rivalry dates back to the mid-70s and the Seahawks lead the overall series 30-22 with one tie.
Geno Smith will need to overcome ‘Mr Irrelevant’ Brock Purdy to return the Seahawks to winning ways. However, Purdy has been far from irrelevant to the 49ers.
The Seahawks, led by QB Geno Smith, were in good form at the start of the season, but are currently on a two-game losing streak, losing their last game to the New York Giants 29-20.
Smith has 143 completions from 199 attempts for 1466 yards. He has thrown for five touchdowns and four interceptions, so will be looking to find his receivers more. Smith has also ran for a touchdown.

Smith will be looking to Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to help move the team forward, with Walker III and Zach Charbonnet to run the ball.
The 49ers, on the other hand, lost their last game to the Arizona Cardinals in a tight affair that ended 24-23. They will be hoping that they can get back to .500 by winning this game. This season, Purdy has thrown for 1374 from 157 attempts with 103 completions with six touchdowns and four interceptions.
His main targets will be Jauan Jennings (377 yards from 22 receptions and three tds) and Brandon Aiyuk (314 yards from 21 receptions). Tight End George Kittle will also be targeted by Purdy, with 255 yards from 23 receptions and three tds. Running Back Jordan Mason will again be the lead back, with 536 yards from 105 attempts, with three tds for an average of 5.1 yards per carry.
