Brighton edged West Ham to a 3-2 win at the Amex after a frenetic second half.
Summer signings Rachel McLauchlan, Kiko Seike and Fran Kirby all scored to beat West Ham, who had levelled the game 2-2 after a quick-fire brace from Katrina Gorry.
Embed from Getty ImagesBrighton broke the deadlock 30 minutes in through McLauchlan, scoring her first goal for the Seagulls. The Scot curled her effort in following a masterful flick by Kirby.
The game burst into life in the second half. The Seagulls doubled their lead on the hour mark courtesy of Seike, but their lead wouldn’t last.
Embed from Getty ImagesCaptain Gorry scored two rapid-fire goals from outside the box to draw the game level less than 10 minutes after Brighton scored their second.
Gorry hit the bar in the 63rd minute from range, then smashed a long-range strike into the far right corner a minute later. Her second snuck into the net past Sofia Baggaley’s near post after a deflection.

The win sees Brighton climb to 16 points, their best ever WSL tally after nine games.
