A heated clash between Brighton and Crystal Palace awaits this afternoon at the Amex.

The Seagulls will look to continue their rich vein of form to start the season which has them currently sitting 7th in the table.

Their last match was a frustrating 2-2 draw away to Leicester where they conceded two late goals.

After failing to continue from where they left off at the end the of last season which saw them finish 10th, Palace currently sit just above the relegation zone in 17th.

However, last weekend they picked up a well-earned point at home against last year’s champions Manchester City, taking their unbeaten run in the league to four.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner shared some thoughts in the buildup to today’s match, specifically referring to their attacking struggles.

He said, “We have to improve our efficiency in front of the goal. We can be more clinical with the final pass, with finishing and with how we attack.”

They have 14 goals after 15 matches. Not exactly a recipe for success.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler discussed what he expects from Palace including their defensive attributes saying, “They are very good at defending and very good in transition. We are going to have to be aware of not giving the ball away.”

In their last meeting at the Amex Brighton claimed a convincing 4-1 win in the Premier League in February earlier this year.

Solly March remains out of the squad for the Seagulls while Adam Wharton misses out again for Palace.
