My video story looks at professional footballer Alex Scott’s career so far. Growing up Alex played in the academies for clubs such as Southampton and Bournemouth, but was eventually released and he returned home to Guernsey where he started playing for Guernsey FC (GFC). Alex was just 16 and showcased his raw talent against opposition much older than him. Bristol City got into contact with GFC and invited Alex to travel for a trial. After impressing in his trial Alex was signed and now plays for Bristol’s first team at just 18 years old. He also plays for England U19s and GFC coach, Steve Sharman, hopes to see him in a first team England shirt in the years to come.
