Fermín López shined as Barcelona cruised to a monumental 200th win across the European’s top competition with a 2-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Torres found the back of the net in the 28th minute of the game with a brilliant close range finish following López’s shot against the post, originally ruled out for offside a swift VAR check went in his favour giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead.
It didn’t take long for López to find his goal, beating the post this time with a thunderous strike into the top corner putting his side up 2-0 in the 36th minute.
With their first shot on target all match Shakhtar midfielder Heorhiy Sudakov fired a great finish past Marc-André ter Stegen in the 62nd minute to close Barcelona’s lead to one goal.

Barcelona were unlucky to not extend their lead with a late header by standout López being ruled out for offside.
Following this loss, Shakhtar are in a troubling position in Group H, sitting third with just three points and minus two goal difference.
After tonight’s win all eyes now focus on red-hot Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid this weekend.
