A match dominated by Munich, Mane, Sane, and Gnabry leading the show. Plezn had their backs to the wall from minute one, there was nothing the Czech side could do but try and hold off the onslaught. Bayern kept the ball for 70% of the match and their clinical nature throughout, their ruthless desire for more goals was clear for all to see. Plezn only managed 3 shots on target across the 90 minutes. Bayern had a strong 13. More than Plezn’s total shots (10).
Although not a surprising result, the game surely is a sign of things to come for Bayern this season. So calm and collected, so blood-thirsty, a spectacle that anyone could enjoy.

Kick Off
1’ – Bayern pass the ball around looking for Mane. Neuer getting involved in the back line.
3’ – Most of the possession is with Bayern, making complex moves down the left. Mane and Davies getting a lot of the ball.
4’ – First corner of the game for Bayern, knocked away by the Plzen defence. Bayern quickly press and collect the ball.
6’ – GOAL – Gravenberch wins the ball well and it falls to Sane. He drives forward through the midfield towards the box and sets himself up for the strike well. The Plzen defence do little to challenge him and he is given too much space outside of the box for a well taken strike. The keeper Tvrdon is nowhere to be seen.
9’ – Sane has now scored in his last 3 Champions League matches. Bayern look to drive up field on the counter but the ball has too much on it. Bayern keep possession at the back.
12’ – GOAL – A lightning fast counter from Bayern, won back cleverly by Musiala. Played to Goretzka who knocked it through the defenders legs to set up Gnabry, who hit it well into the top right.
14’ – Mane has a shot on goal but it is right at the keeper. Victoria have a spell on the ball but it provides little opportunity and Bayern once again pass it around the back calculating their next move,
16’ – FREE KICK – Mane is brought down on the left hand side of the box. Gnabry steps up to take the kick. He’s followed by Sane.
17’ – SAVE – Curving free kick by Gnabry is well saved by the Plzen keeper, Tvyrdon, who reaches up to his left to save the shot.
19’ – Bayern are so far up the pitch their defenders are out of their own half. Plzen are truly on the back foot.
20’ – GOAL – Mane picks up the ball 30 yards from goal and drives through the defensive line. Striking the ball inside the box into the near corner. 3 – 0 Bayern.
23’ – Bayern are playing well inside of the opposition half. Plzen have their backs against the wall. The ball is played forward and into the box but Musiala couldn’t get there before the keeper.
24’ SAVE – Musiala is played through on goal into the box, but his shot is confidently saved by Tvrdon.
26’ – A good effort from Plzen. Ball played into the box from the right wing. Chory couldn’t reach it and it goes out for a goal kick. Bayern plays the ball forward from the back and regains their strong foothold quickly.
29’ – YELLOW CARD – De-Ligt is struck in the face by a stray leg from Chory. The Bayern defender goes to ground and Bayern are given a free kick. The referee awards Chory with a yellow for his efforts.
32’ – A goal kick for Plzen is won back quickly by Bayern and Alphonso Davies pushes forward on the left. Bayern pass it around their back line looking for options.
35’ – Upamecano drives into the defensive line! Keeping it close to his feet. Nagelsman is surely amused.
36’ – GOAL DISSALOWED – VAR overrules the goal from Musiala. A well taken hit struck past the keeper with relative ease. Unfortunately for Musiala, Mane was ruled offside in the build up play with Gnabry.
38’ The closest Plzen have come to goal. Chory, who has been well involved, heading over the bar after a cross into the box from Vlkanova. Still 3 – 0.
41’ – Mane has an opportunity from inside the box but it is well saved again by Tvrdon. The ball then finds itself with Mane again and this time he opts for the cross towards Musiala, who can’t get to it in time.
42’ – FREE KICK – Leroy Sane steps up. He hits it well, but it is well over the bar. The Plzen keeper doesn’t need to move. Plzen try to get out but Bayern push and win the ball back. The ball is played towards Gnabry from the midfield, but Tvrdon is there to collect.
45’ – Scrappy from Bayern as they repel Plzen at the halfway line. The ball is switched toward the left again and this time Davies carries towards the back of the box. His pass back is intercepted, and the referee blows for HALF TIME.
