Brazil’s start to the campaign has been strong as they have scored nine in their two wins.

The Brazillians started off with a 5-0 win over Bolivia and a Neymar hattrick to push them over the line in 4-2 win against Peru.

However, Venezuela have opened their campaign with two losses. They were swept aside by Colombia in a 3-0 defeat, whilst Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel put on quite a show.

Venezuela also lost 1-0 to Peru in their last match at home, falling to a late goal from Gaston Gimenez.

HEAD TO HEAD

Brazil have won 21 out of 26 games against Venezuela before, having lost only three times. Their last meeting was a 0-0 draw.

TEAM NEWS

Before the squads had even been announced, we were aware that players like Philippe Coutinho, Fabinho and Casemiro have been out injured

Gabriel Jesus and goalkeeper Alisson have been added to the squad after previously missing out due to injuries.

Neymar has been named in the Brazil squad, but the superstar has not featured for Paris Saint-Germain in the last few weeks, so he could be a doubt to start this game.

Venezueala however, have not been able to names the likes of Adalberto Penaranda, Sergio Cordova and Nahuel Ferraresi in their squad due to COVID-19.

PREDICTED LINEUPS

Brazil: (4-2-3-1) Alisson, Danilo, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva (c), Renan Lodi, Allan, Douglas Luiz, Gabriel Jesus, Everton Ribeiro, Richarlison, Roberto Firmino

Venezuela: (4-3-3) Wuilker Farinez; Rolf Feltscher, Jhon Chancellor, Wilker Angel, Roberto Rosales; Yangel Herrera, Tomas Rincon, Cristian Casseres; Darwin Machis, Salomon Rondon, Fernando Aristeguieta

PREDICTION FOR THE MATCH:

Although they are currently suffering from a large amount of injuries, I still expect Brazil to steamroll past Venezuela and dominate the game. They will have too much firepower and their depth will make up for the injuries. Brazil 3-0 Venezuela.
