Brighton will be aiming to end their five-match Premier League winless run when they host bottom club Sheffield United on Sunday.

They come off the back of an historic 2-0 victory over Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday, which was the first European away win in their existence.

Brighton also announced a new contract for top scorer Evan Ferguson, which will last until 2029.

Roberto De Zerbi, to BHAFC, said: “I am really happy for him, for his performance, … but he’s not complete yet … as a striker.”

However, there are doubts over Lewis Dunk, Pervis Estupinan, and James Milner, who all came off injured during Thursday’s win.

Sheffield United can go up to 18th and within two points of Bournemouth in 17th with a win.

They will be buoyed by the performance of Manchester City loanee James McAtee during their 2-1 victory over Wolves last weekend, their first of the campaign.

Blades manager Paul Heckingbottom, speaking about McAtee to SUFC, said: “Second half he was as good as he’s been.

“The challenge is for him to deliver that every time he’s on the pitch.”

United will also be encouraged by the possible returns of Anel Ahmedhodzic and Oliver McBurnie.
