Brighton fail to make the most of their chances in a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest at the Amex Stadium.
Roberto De Zerbi’s wait for his first Premier League win as Brighton boss will continue as his team failed to make a poor Nottingham Forest side pay in a very one-sided affair on Tuesday evening.
Leandro Trossard fired an effort against the bar, Solly March and Joel Veltman all came close in the first half which Brighton dominated with 12 shots to Nottingham Forest’s zero.
Adam Lallana rolled back the years as he pulled the strings in the Seagulls midfield creating chance after chance which were all subsequently squandered.
Dean Henderson, the Forest goalkeeper, had the majority of the touches for his side as he made several key saves and claims, especially in the second half as Brighton turned up the pressure.
Ryan Yates was a man in the wars, the Forest captain, as he continuously put his body on the line for his side in a gritty display whilst he also took a Moises Caicedo boot to the nose which resulted in a stoppage in play to clear up the Englishmen’s wound.
Overall Forest will come away the happier of the two sides with Steve Cooper’s side soaking up all of Brighton’s pressure to come away from the south coast with a potentially valuable point in their attempt to keep their heads above the water. On the flip side, De Zebri will scratch his head as he looks to add some potency to his side who end this evening in 7th .
