Brighton are out to win their first ever match against Arsenal in any competition when they take on the Gunners at Broadfield Stadium in the Subway League Cup quarterfinals.
Against Arsenal, the Seagulls have lost 14 out of the 15 fixtures played with one draw and have only ever managed to score two goals against tonight’s opponent.
Albion manager Dario Vidosic however is still looking forward to the opportunity at hand to advance in the League Cup.
“It’s an opportunity for us to try and play our football against good opponents and get into the semi-finals, and make some history for the club,” he told BHAFC.
The challenge will surely be great as the Gunners have gone unbeaten in their last 12 matches, winning 11 of them, and haven’t lost a game since losing 2-1 to Chelsea in the WSL in October.

“They have a very strong identity,” she told arsenal.com
“I think they’re very persistent with their style of play and when they do it well they do it really well, so it’s going to put a challenge on us.”
In team news, Stina Blackstenius makes it onto the bench for Arsenal but Caitlin Foord is not included in the squad, while Dejana Stefanovic joins Nikita Parris and Jorelyn Carabali on Brighton’s bench.
