Brighton hosts West Ham in the Women’s Super League during match week eight at the Amex Stadium this afternoon.

The third placed Seagulls are coming off a 5-0 defeat away at the Emirates against Arsenal conceding three times in the opening 25 minutes.

They will look to bounce back today as they face ninth placed West Ham and continue their strong form at home this season during which they have won three and drawn one in four matches.

The Hammers are coming off their first win of the season in a 1-0 win at home against Leicester.

The result put an end to their 15-game winless streak in the WSL and was the first clean sheet the side has recorded in 10 matches.

In injury news, Brighton receives a boost with Pauline Bremer and Jelena Cankovic returning to the squad after both missed the previous three matches.

Defender Kirsty Smith makes her first start of the season for West Ham.

In the two times they faced in the league last season, the Hammers recorded four points including a 2-0 win away from home and goalless draw at home.

Brighton did, however, manage to beat them 3-1 in the Women’s League Cup.
