Home   /   Brighton Reunite Palace Rivalry

The A23 Derby returns for the 142nd time this afternoon as Brighton & Hove Albion host Crystal Palace at the Amex.

Albion are without a win in their last three Premier League outings, whilst an improving Palace are unbeaten in four.

A result for Brighton could move them as high as fifth. Palace are looking to put breathing space between themselves and the drop zone.

Fabian Hurzeler’s men will feel they dropped two points last time out against Leicester City. A 2-0 lead on 85 minutes was soon dashed as a late double salvo for the Foxes rescued a point.

Oliver Glasner will be looking to build on recent positive results. Their own 2-2 draw with Manchester City will be looked upon more positively than the draw of his opposite number.

Brighton are still without Jack Hinshelwood, Ferdi Kadioglu and James Milner with knee, toe and hamstring injuries respectively. Three-week absentee Joel Veltman has not made the squad.

Matheis Franca (groin) and Joel Ward (calf) remain out of contention. Adam Wharton is not yet fit enough to make the bench.

Albion make one change as last week’s goalscorer Yankuba Minteh replaces Evan Ferguson in attack.

Crystal Palace remain unchanged from their draw against Manchester City.
