Stunning goals from Danny Welbeck and a Diego Gomez brace secured the Seagulls a seventh win in their unbeaten streak against Leeds.
Welbeck, delivered in 11th-minute. Yankuba Minteh threaded a pass to Matts Weiffer, who then sent a cross to the Englishman who finished into the net, making it six goals in nine matches for the 34-year-old and possibly a return to the English national team.
Minteh was a threat throughout. The Gambian created clever set-pieces and intensively pressed through the opponent’s defence. In the 64-minute, the winger dribbled past Gabriel Gudmundsson, directing the ball towards Gomez, who executed a clinical finish.

In the 55-minute, the Paraguayan tried an acrobatic shot but it was blocked by Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri. His efforts finally paid off in the 70th-minute, when Georgino Rutter crossed and Gomez chipped the ball into the net.
Leeds tried to deliver and show presence but failed to keep possession of the ball and utilize opportunities. The Whites lacked quality and were lacklustre in contrast to their opponents. In the first-half, Bogle created an aerial pass towards the goal, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin couldn’t make it in time to finish. Lucas Perri made two critical saves in the second half but the game was already over.
This result sends Brighton up two places to 10th but Leeds sees themselves closer to the relegation zone.
