KICK OFF: Saturday 20th March 2021, 8pm
Brighton & Hove Albion will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they welcome Steve Bruce’s struggling Newcastle United to the Amex Stadium on Saturday in a relegation six-pointer.
The Seagulls currently 16th in the Premier League table, three points clear of 18th placed Fulham, while Newcastle occupy 17th position, one behind Graham Potter’s side heading into this weekend’s crucial contest.
Brighton ended a run of three straight Premier League defeats when they beat South coast rivals Southampton at St Mary’s last weekend.
Survival is very much on the cards for Graham Potter’s side, and there can be no downplaying of this weekend’s fixture against Newcastle considering their next three games are up against Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea.
Brighton actually have the third-worst home record in the Premier League this season, collecting just 10 points from their 14 matches, recording just one win in the process.
Newcastle, meanwhile, registered a draw in their third straight league game at home to Aston Villa last weekend, with Jamaal Lascelles scoring a late leveller in the 94th minute.
Steve Bruce’s side have only won one of their last seven in the Premier League, which has left them languishing down the bottom and very much in the relegation mix.
