The reigning Women’s Super League champions Chelsea head to Leigh Sports Village to face the current table leaders Manchester United tonight.
The home side will be aiming to keep their 100% winning streak this season alive, but United head coach Marc Skinner has also highlighted the need for the girls to be pleased with the performance they are going to put out on the pitch tonight.
Skinner said to the club media: “These games you should enjoy, and I think we have to be very clear, and we should be confident but not complacent.”
Even though the United team has had a great start to the season the Chelsea squad has also put in good performances and have only failed to win one of their six games so far.
The Chelsea Women’s General Manager Paul Green said to club media: “We’re really pleased with the way the squads playing at the moment the number of chances we’re creating the number of goals we’re scoring.”
Starting XI
One standout point from these line-ups is that Alessia Russo is back in the starting 11 after not being included due to injury recently. It is Lucia Garcia who has made way for her.
