Patrick Mahomes would take his record to 4-1 against Justin Herbert, as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, October 22nd at Arrowhead.

A slow start from both sides would see the first quarter end with a pair of field goals and a 3-3 tie. 

Action would pick up in the second quarter, as Mahomes unleashed a 46-yard bomb to Valdes-Scantling giving the Chiefs a 10-3 lead. However, Kelley would find the end zone with a 49-yard run to tie the game for LA.

The number two ranked Kansas City offense wouldn’t be silenced easily, as Mahomes found Rice on a six-yard touchdown pass. Everett would level the scoring for the Chargers once again, connecting with Herbert for a 7-yard touchdown.

Asante thought he had changed the tide for LA with an interception on an intended pass for Hardman. 

However, a failure to capitalise would result in the Chiefs regaining possession and Kelce finding the end zone just before half time. 

A second half full of defensive stops, led to not a single score until the final three minutes. Justin Herbert would continue his struggles, as the Chargers QB was intercepted twice.

Kansas City would be the nail in the coffin with three minutes to go. Pacheco running into the end zone from a Mahomes pass – his fourth touchdown of the night.

The win takes the Chiefs to 6-1 on the season, tied for the best record in the NFL. While the Chargers fall to 2-4.
