A masterclass from Kevin De Bruyne, saw the Champions cruise past Nottingham Forrest in a 3-0 win and restore themselves to winning ways.
From the opening whistle, Manchester City were relentless. Pep had given his boys a lecture and they were ready to show Forrest who the teacher was. Bernardo Silva opened the scoreline early on, assisted by the captain in the eighth minute. At the half-hour mark, De Bruyne added to his tally with a goal. The Belgian dynamo put on a magic show for the Etihad.
Forrest tried their best to pull a goal back, but City left the Garibaldis picking at crumbs. The 57th minute saw City seal the deal with a goal from Jeremy Doku as Erling Haaland earned his first assist of the Premier League season.
Peps boys amassed a total of 17 shots against the reds tonight, barely giving their opponents a moment to breathe. After seven straight losses in all competitions heading into tonight’s fixture; Manchester City are back and fighting. The fall was big, but Pep will be wanting the comeback to be bigger.
