Antonio Conte got his first Premier League win as Spurs boss after they defeated Leeds United at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Sergio Reguilon struck a 69th minute winner to complete a second half comeback for Spurs. Eric Dier’s deflected free-kick struck the post before the ball fell back to the onrushing Reguilon who smashed the ball home causing the crowd to erupt.
The home crowd booed off their side at half time after a turgid first half performance saw Leeds dominate the game, going close many times before Daniel James converted Jack Harrison’s cross on the 44th minute to put Leeds ahead just before the end of the half.
Conte proved his worth at half time making some tactical changes which almost instantly worked with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min striking the woodwork within minutes of the second half starting.
Lucas Moura picked the ball up in the box and cut it back to Pierre-Emile Højbjerg who curled his shot into the far corner to send the crowd and his energetic manager into a frenzy.
After Reguilon put Spurs ahead with 20 minutes to go, the North London side controlled the rest of the game brilliantly and could have easily won by more goals.
Antonio Conte was jubilant at full time, passionately hugging all his players and screaming to the crowd as he celebrated his first league win.
