Croatia head to the top of Group F after a 4-1 victory against Canada yesterday and redeem their World class status after bouncing back from their goalless result against Morocco. Here are the reactions from the game:

The game started poorly for Croatia with Canada’s star man Alphonso Davies scoring the fastest goal of the tournament so far within two minutes. Croatia gaffer Zlatko Dalic stated: “They were behind from the first second against a team that has enthusiasm, energy, when you score a goal, you attack even more”. Praising the Maple Leafs for a solid start to the game.

However, the manager was right and the goal created a switch within Croatia. Andrej Kramaric comments: “The first five minutes were a difficult start, but we showed what Croatia always shows, focus, mental strength, and we won dominantly”.

The forward netted a brace and was vital to the change in attitude after Croatia conceded the first. “There is no need to be too happy, the last game decides the group. I hope that we will be in the same condition as today and pass the group”, Croatia face Belgium next on Thursday and a win would finish them top of group H.

Canada is now out of the competition after this result and have nothing but pride to play for in their final game against Morocco on Thursday.
