Having confirmed their exit from the Champions League Group Stages for the first time in nine seasons last time out, Juventus have the chance to restore some dignity against high-flying Paris Saint-Germain
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri admitted his anger’ in the fact that his side will not get the chance to compete ’with the best in Europe from March onwards’, before speaking on the former Italian champions’ chances in the Europa League should they qualify: “Juventus was born to win, so we must arrive in the Europa League and then make up ground in the league.”
Meanwhile, PSG have the chance to top Group H with a win over the struggling Italians. And, considering the fact that the French champions are one of the only clubs still unbeaten in all competitions in Europe’s top five leagues this season, manager Christophe Galtier should be confident in his side ahead of the tie. Galtier had his say on the upcoming game: “We are Paris Saint-Germain and we have this sporting ambition. We’ve talked about it with the players, we’re all focused on that. We know that Juventus can’t qualify for the knockout rounds, but they will do everything to qualify for the Europa League.”
