FULL TIME! Eastbourne Town 1-0 Alfold. After a tightly fought affair Eastbourne Town scrape a victory after a late Zac Attwood winner. The game was very even and definitely could have gone either way but Eastbourne end up grabbing the three points to the delight of the ‘beachy head ultras’ and the disappointment of the travelling Alfold squad.
90+2″ Eastbourne know they have the three points in the bag here and play it around the Alfold squad. Holding it in the corner to give Alfold little to know chance. Especially this late in the game
89″ GOAL! Eastbourne Town 1-0 Alfold FC. A dramatic late goal from Zac Attwood surely guarantees the points for Eastbourne Town so late on. Barbosa picked out a fantastic pass lifting it over for McDonald to get on the end of. He made it into the box and showed fantastic composure to turn and find Attwood in space. The shot put hard into the bottom left corner giving the Alfold keeper no chance.
81″ A shot from close range from Taggart is brilliantly saved by Correia who has looked unbeatable today. Will Eastbourne Town manage to beat him late on?
72″ Double substitution for Eastbourne Town. Tom Vickers and Nathan Crabb coming off for Matthew Barbosa and Tom McDonald.
68″ A great chance for Alfold as they continue to put pressure on the Eastbourne backline. Jamie Chilsworth lofted a pass over the top for Kelvin Lucas to run onto the end of. He picks out Sam Leaton who’s shot is blocked. The pressure is certainly on now.
55″ Tackles are flying in here as Alfold win another freekick on the right side of the pitch. Conor Wilford steps up to it again but his ball in is easily caught by Winterton again.
53″ Yellow card for Ash Mutongerwa. Yet another foul from him gives the referee no choice but to book him.
45″ Eastbourne Town get the second half underway.
45″ Just before the second half kicks off Alfold make a Substitution. Clyde Jacques come off for Kieron Joseph. Jacques went down during the first half which may have something to do with this sub.
As the players go in for half time both sides will see positives from the half. The game has been tightly fought with each side having lots of decent chances to take the lead, to no avail. If the second half is anything like the first though we are bound to see an exciting finish to what has already been a great game.
Half Time – Eastbourne Town 0-0 Alfold FC
41″ As Alfold continue to press Eastbourne Town’s defence the ball is played in and almost put into the Eastbourne Town net by Dan Hull. He gets away with it however as the ball goes just wide of the mark.
39″ Once again Crabb is played in behind nicely for a good opportunity which is saved brilliantly. A spectacular save denying Eastbourne Town the lead once again.
35″ Eastbourne continue the pressure as Attwood once again tests the backline of Alfold. Vickers plays him in behind again for a great chance. 1v1 with the keeper and Attwood forces a save from Correia who did well.
32″ Eastbourne have another effort saved by the keeper as Attwood lays it off for Taggart. Taggart probably should have done better but that doesn’t take anything away from the save.
29″ An early substitution for Alfold. Jordan Mase makes his way off the pitch for Tiago Andrade after a crunching tackle. He must have picked up an injury to go off so early on in the game.
29″ Jordan Mase goes down and the referee yet again stops the play.

9″ A solid attack was formed by Eastbourne Town there as the overlapping run of Matty Astle was found. He manages to find Nathan Crabb who’s shot is saved.
7″ A fantastic early effort for Eastbourne to take the lead. A beautiful ball was played over the top for Nathan Crabb to get on the end of. His shot and the rebound saved fantastically by Luis Correia.
