Thomas Tuchel’s men set up yet another cup final against Liverpool as they overcome a stubborn Palace team.
Starting XI
Edouard Mendy Made a smart save to deny Cheikhou Kouyate’s volley, apart from that was never really challenged. 7/10
Reece James Arguably man of the match, playing on the right of the back three James kept Wilfred Zaha quiet throughout and also pushed forward looking to initiate attacks. A very mature and dominant performance. 8/10
Andreas Christensen Very calm and composed at the back, used his pace well to prevent Crystal Palace counterattacks. 7/10
Antonio Rudiger A typical Rudi display as he got stuck in and looked to win the ball back for his side as soon as they lost it, almost scored late on after a marauding run forward. 7/10
Marcos Alonso Was a very lacklustre display from the Spaniard where he failed to create many chances down the left flank. 6/10
Cesar Azpilicueta Similar to Alonso failed to create down his side, fluffed an audacious volley in the first half. 6/10

Kai Havertz A very quiet game for the German, booked in the first half for a cynical dive which was well spotted by Anthony Taylor. 6/10
Timo Werner The Blues most lively attacker always looking to use his pace to create openings, got the assist for Mount’s goal and almost got an assist for Romelu Lukaku if it wasn’t for the post denying the Belgium. 8/10
