FC Barcelona thrashed their arch-rivals Real Madrid at Estadi Lluís Companys and continued a brilliant start to the Liga F season.

The blaugranes have won all their nine games in the season and this result meant Real Madrid have not registered a single win in their 12th attempt against Barca Women.

Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati opened the scoring for FC Barcelona in the 18th minute, marked her fourth goal in the league and sixth in all competitions.

Bonmati combined well with Graham Hansen in the box and her shot slid to left side of the net.

In form Real Madrid striker Signe Bruun had a forgettable El Clasico debut. Although the Danish striker had a promising start with her new club scoring six goals. She was non-existent and had no service throughout the game.

Madrid could not the match Barcelona’s intensity and quality. The waves of pressure generated after Bonmati’s opener. On either flank for Barcelona, the runs and pace of Salma Paralluelo and Hansen proved nightmares for Madrid defence.

Madrid could have conceded even more if it was not for the crossbar and poor finishing from Barcelona.

The game was already settled Hansen deservedly doubled in the 43rd minute and Mariona sealed the third goal before the break.

In the dying minutes of the second half Cláudia Pina got on the scoresheet and substitute 17-year-old Vicky Lopez scored the fifth and final goal. This equalled FC Barcelona biggest win against Real Madrid.
