Massive clash in the Europa League today as two historical clubs face off in what is going to be an electric game of football. Feyenoord will be looking to get revenge for the 2023 Europa League final where Roma beat them 4-1 to take home the trophy, but in front of a strong home crowd they will be looking to cause an upset in this first leg.

1′ They look to create an early lead as Nicola Zalewski bursts down the left only for his low cross to be cleared. Positive start for Roma.
2′ Yankuba Minteh tries to build something on the left side but it is comfortably defended by Gianluca Mancini.
3′ Early penalty shout for Feyenoord but referee dismisses this as the player went down very easily
5′ Zalweski is bundled down under intense pressure by Ramiz Zerouki, harsh from the ref to call a foul there

8′ Good play from Roma as a long distance shot from Edoardo Bove is deflected for a corner. Paulo Dybala’s corner was lacking height as it was easily cleared on the front post.
10′ CHANCE FOR ROMA! What a pass from Dybala who plays through Pellegrini but well smothered by Timon Wellenreuther who had to time that perfectly.

The visitors will be happy with the outcome of the game as they take a draw back to Rome where they have a very good record this season. The hosts however will believe they deserved a win here as they put Roma under relentless pressure. Feyenoord opened the scoring with a lovely header from Paixao, however Roma managed to hold out following Lukaku’s equaliser in the 67th minute putting them in a better position for the second leg with home advantage.
