Gilles Magnus is on pole position for the 12-lap race ahead of Thed Bjork.
Bence Boldizs is starting from the pit lane as his team are putting fresh tyres onto his Cupra.
GO!!
Good start from Bjork as Magnus holds off Urrutia for second, Yaan Ehrlacher is tenth, closely followed by his uncle, Yvan Muller.
Drama as Luca Engstler and Nestor Girolami collide at Turn-15 as the safety car is deployed.
From the replay, it looks as if Engstler had locked up had then in trying to get the car stopped, tried to slide the car but only succeeded in hitting Girolami.
The safety car is in this lap!
We are back racing at the start of lap 4
Just been shown a replay of Tom Coronel just nudging the back of Josh Files as Gabriele Tarquini passes Vernay for fifth!
Aurelian Comte is at the side of the track with what looks like a puncture and there are yellow flags at the second sector
The battle for fourth between Tarquini and Nathanael Berhon is really hotting up as MAgnus loses second to Santiago Urrutia.
It’s lap 7 Muller is complaining that he has no power, understandable given that he has just been passed on the back straight by Files, Coronel and Esteban Guerrieri
Thed Bjork is being told that he is doing a great job, which he is as he’s the driver who is leading the race!
it’s the satrt of lap-10 and Tarquini is battling Magnus as Muller gets passed by Kismarty for 13th!
It’s also that time of the race where drivers are starting to get warned about track limits and Magnus has recieved the driving standards flag (black and white diagonal) for track limits!
Files and coronel pass Ehrlacher to drop the championship leader to 10th as Tarquini passes Magnus for third!
Gueirreri has just dropeed Ehrlacher down to 11th on lap 12 as Berthon also passes Magnus, this time for fourth!
As the final lap starts, Bjork and Urrutia have put quite some distance between them and the rest of the field!
The race is over as Thed Bjork leads Santiago Urrutia for a Cyan Racing 1-2 with Gabriele Tarquini rounding out the podium!
The rest of the top-10 consisted of Berthon, Magnus, Vernay, Azcona, Files, Coronel and Guerrieri!
Gilles Magnus also claimed the ‘Rookie of the Year award as well whilst Urrutia won ‘Most Valuable Driver’!
Ehrlacher said that he had issues with the boost on the car and that the team will be investigating it.
Well, that was an exciting race and in two weeks time, it’s back to Aragon for the final round!
Until next time!
