France takes onย Englandย in probably their toughest test yet atย this yearโ€™s FIFA World Cup in Qatar with a last four berth in sight.ย

The holders come into this tantalising quarter-final showdown almost evenly matched against a Three Lions side that has been thoroughly impressive thus far.

England is undefeated and has scored 12 goals in their four games in Qatar. They have conceded only two goals and kept three consecutive clean sheets heading into the game.

France has conceded a goal in each of their games, but they have the mercurial Kylian Mbappe in their ranks. The 23-year-old currently leads the Golden Boot race with five goals to his name.

The PSG man could be the X factor Didier Deschampsโ€™ side needs to try and get the better of England, who lost to Croatia in the World Cup semi-finals four years ago in Russia.ย

England boss Gareth Southgate may use full-back Kyle Walker to try and contain the explosive Frenchman but it remains to be seen how that match-up will play out on the pitch.

Les Bleus skipper and custodian Hugo Lloris is set to become his countryโ€™s most capped player, surpassing Lilian Thuram after equalling his record against Poland.

The defending champions have never beaten England at the World Cup. The last time these two sides met in this competition, England scripted a 3-1 win in 1982 in Spain.

The winner of this game will take on Morocco in the semi-finals next.

Here is how the two teams line up for this game:
