Home   /   High stakes at the Etihad tonight

Manchester City could be staring down the barrel at their eighth winless game in a row this evening, and a fifth in the Premier League.

The reigning Champions have been winless in the Premier League since their 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth, over a month ago. Tonight, they host Nottingham Forrest at the Etihad. A win for the reds this evening would see them leapfrog City and take their place in the top four.

Nottingham Forrest have never defeated City in the Premier League, but their fortune could change tonight. The Garibaldis have been in flying form as of late, registering only three losses in thirteen league matches so far. Top scorer, Chris Wood, has managed nine goals, only three goals off tonight’s opponent, Erling Haaland. The two strikers go head-to-head tonight for bragging rights this evening.

Manchester City have a point to prove at home; that they’re not out of the race just yet. Forrest will been keen to keep the cityzens feeling blue tonight.

Pep was tormented by a team in red at the weekend, could Forrest continue the trend and see City fall further down the table? With a lot at stake for both sides, a tense matchup is promised in the North tonight.
