Ruben Amorim claimed his first victory as Manchester United head coach with a 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford, in a less than convincing but enjoyable display from the Red Devils.
The Amorim era got off to a flying start inside two minutes against Ipswich last weekend, United’s opener came even earlier tonight with Alejandro Garnacho scoring after just 48 seconds.
Bodo keeper Nikita Haikin was to blame, lingering on the ball, which allowed Rasmus Hojlund to close him down quickly, and Garnacho to tap into an empty net.

Three minutes later the Norwegians were in dreamland, taking the lead through Philip Zinckernagel. The Danish winger breezed past a returning Tyrell Malacia to finish low under Andre Onana.

Hojlund clawed back an equaliser on the stroke of half time, a brilliant touch and volleyed finish after a precise Noussair Mazraoui cross.
After the break, Hojlund grabbed his second when the Dane tapped home from yards out following a low cross from Manuel Ugarte.
The home side had several chances to seal the win. Mason Mount struck the bar, while Garnacho fired two chances off-target.
United clung on nervously to secure a second consecutive European win to move them up to 12th in the Europa League.
