Today Juventus are going to try and overturn a 2-1 deficit after the first leg against Porto.
The home side today, Juventus, are going into the game 2-1 down after a poor showing in the first leg in Portugal. Andrea Pirlo has made six changes to the team that lost in the first leg. Three of the changes have been made in defence with Juan Cuadrado, Leonardo Bonucci and Merih Demiral in the team replacing Danilo, Giorgio Chiellini and Matthijs de Ligt. Aaron Ramsey is starting for Juventus after having a big impact during the first leg when he came on during the second half. Ramsey in the squad in place of Weston McKennie. Arthur is playing instead of Bentancur as a central midfielder. Alvaro Morata is playing upfront with Cristiano Ronaldo instead of Dejan Kulusevski. Ronaldo will be fresh today after being rested at the weekend as the Italian side beat Lazio 3-1.
After Porto’s brilliant performance in the first leg against Juventus, Sérgio Conceição has been zero changes to his side after their 2-1 victory. The Portuguese will have some added confidence after beating Gil Vicente in the Primera Liga. An important player for Porto tonight is Pepe who will have to contain his former club and International teammate Ronaldo who obviously is the Italian side most dangerous player.
In todays game Juventus will want to start well after conceding within minutes of both halves in the first leg. If the Italian side can get an early goal in the game pressure will be on Porto who would be losing via the away goal rule.
Both teams will be coming out soon for the start of the game. In the other game in the Champions League tonight Dortmund are playing against Sevilla as German side have a 3-2 lead after the first leg.
