Lando Norris could see his drawn out battle with Max Verstappen come to an end this weekend as the Dutchman has the chance to win the Driver’s Championship with two races remaining. Verstappen will win the title if he avoids dropping more than three points to his rival in Norris, a feat that seems likely given his starting position of fifth compared to Norris’s sixth. As far as the three-time world champion is concerned, there are no other drivers, he just needs to finish above Norris wherever on the grid that may be, and he will be champion

George Russell finds himself in pole position after Mercedes’ strong start to the weekend, their main driver Lewis Hamilton topped two practice sessions with Russell fastest in the final outing. Hamilton went quickest in the early sessions of qualifying but two errors in Q3 caused him to secure 10th on the grid while his teammate kept up the strong pace.
