“We play a fantastic game” Pep lords the praise on his Manchester City who beat Fulham 2-1 with 10 men thanks to a 94th minute Erling Haaland penalty at the Ethiad Stadium.

In what could have been an awkward test for City was made even more challenging after defender Joao Cancelo was sent off midway through the first half after making a foul on Harry Wilson whilst being the last man. Fulham scored their penalty but it wasn’t to be the only penalty in the game after Erling Haaland scored from the spot to snatch all three points in the 94th minute.

Pep was full of praise for his side who dominated throughout whilst having 10 men for the majority, “When you play 65 minutes against 11 it’s different, but we play a fantastic game for 90 minutes, we concede one shot on target through the transition, the way we played was outstanding”.

“One of the best performances in my seven years”

Overall it was a cruel way for Fulham to lose the points right at the depth after being resolute throughout the game and restricting the chances which City had. Manager Marco Silva still believed his side could have done better especially with the man advantage, “I would like to see our team play better on the ball, off the ball we have to do better and be braver”.
