Three goals in 10 first half minutes for Leicester City as well as a Patson Daka backheel sank local rivals Nottingham Forest 4-0 in a home victory for the Foxes
The joy was brought back to the King Power, with a first win of the season for a ruthless Leicester which was all but settled within the first half, a brace from the in-form James Maddison and a curler from Harvey Barnes, but the pick off the bunch being a delightful Patson Daka backheel in the second half to seal Forests defeat.
Maddison’s first took a big deflection off Scott Mckenna which wrongfooted Dean Henderson in the Forest goal, whereas his second was a superbly struck free kick. That left the Englishmen on five goals and 2 assists in 6 league games this season.
All goals in the first half came within 10 minutes, moments before Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi struck the post which was Forests biggest chance of the evening.
Forest lacked a cutting edge going forward as Steve Cooper attempted to integrate his new summer signings into his side.
The win for Leicester took them only as far as 19th whilst going ahead of their opponents only separated by goal difference.
