A top of the table clash pits champions, and second place, Liverpool, against league leaders Tottenham, in a season defining game, in which the winner will move three points clear of the other at the top.

Whilst Tottenham lead the league, through a superior goal-difference, they come into the game as 3/1 underdogs. The same odds for when they beat Man City earlier in the season mind you, so don’t count them out just yet.

Liverpool on the other hand are firm favourites, and with a current 65 game unbeaten streak at Anfield in the league, you can see why. With them also being one of only four clubs in the league to still be allowed fans in the stadium, Tottenham can expect an unpleasant reception, and a very tough game.

What further justifies the stacked odds against Spurs, is their recent form against Liverpool. The champions have won all five of the previous five fixtures. A domination which the North London side will be keen to do something about.

The visitors won’t be lacking in confidence, however, as a result of their form this season, especially against the ‘Big Six’, having beaten Man United, Man City and Arsenal, and drawn to Chelsea. Ten points in four games, and unbeaten.

With Liverpool and Tottenham having dropped points in their last games to Fulham and Crystal Palace respectively, both sides will be eager to take all three points and move clear at the top of the table.
