Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side will be looking to produce a much improved performance to the one his team produced the last time these two sides met as they take on Istanbul Başakşehir at Old Trafford in the Champions League.
The home side sit top of Group H with six points after three games following their impressive start to the campaign, beating Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig in the process. The visitors, who currently sit 6th in their domestic league, can go level on points with United with a win on Tuesday night.
When the two sides met on Match Day three it was former Newcastle United and Chelsea striker Demba Ba who caused the Red Devil’s backline the most problems as they had no answer to his strong hold up play, with unforced errors not helping matters for the two-time Champions League winners.
When speaking pre-match, Ole touched on the importance of getting the three points in Tuesday’s fixture and doing so in a convincing manner which hasn’t been the case in many of the wins his side has picked up this season.
Team News:
United will still be without Luke Shaw and Jessie Lingard whilst Paul Pogba remains a doubt due to a knock he picked up prior to their last Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion.
Rafael Da Silva looks set to make a return to Old Trafford whilst former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel will also likely take his place at the heart of Okan Buruk’s defence.
Score Prediction :
