Top of the table Manchester United host bottom of the league Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night looking to pick up all three points, just as they did in December.
Bruno Fernandes yet again stole the headlines in United’s last game, his match winning free kick 10 minutes from time the difference against Liverpool in the FA Cup. United are now 13 games without a defeat in all competitions, 11 of them coming in the league. Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba produced the goals in their previous league game, a 2-1 win away at Fulham.
The visitors are having a worse time of it and will be hoping to turn the table and form guide upside down and take at least a point away with them for the first time since 1973. The Blades will be looking to cause an upset following their 3-1 loss against Tottenham in their last league game. The Blades beat Plymouth 2-1 on the weekend and will be hoping to cause United problems again and go one further than their 3-2 home loss in December.
